Over the last 15 years I have led an amazing team of Engineers and Designers and helped to create a class leading portfolio of cord free vacuum cleaners and Robots for Dyson. Always focused on insights and the voice of the customer, I create patented product Ideas and shape them into successful product designs. I bring strategic leadership, problem solving, determination and hard work to any role.

Head of NPI - Leading all NPI Floor care innovation teams for both Cord-free vacuums and Robotics, 65 Engineers. Setting long term product strategy, learning from Global insights (extensive global user trials) to set the Floor care category direction. Growing Floor care from 1m units to 12m units during this period of rapid growth. Created the vision for V8, V10, V12, V15 including inventing Laser dust lighting technology and new Wash G1 mop. Lead future robotics team and helped define the sensor arrays, layouts, format and vision.
NPI Manager - Creating product and technology concepts for Corded full size products, Uprights and Cylinders
Engineering Manager - Leading the Pick up team, consisting of Engineers and technicians. Responsible for the lab and facilities to test to IEC standards.
Design Manager - Led several full Products through the Development stages of the design process, including several cleaner heads and a Corded Cylinder product. Worked on testing, engineering drawings, milestone process and successful collaboration and transfer to Malaysia for ongoing development.
Reliability Manager - Responsible for Floor care Product reliability Corded Cylinders UK/EU leading a team of Engineers. Travelled extensively to Far East to help with Production quality issues.
Senior Design Engineer - Monitoring, identifying and introducing Engineering solutions to reliability field failures.
Design Engineer - Owning the design, prototyping and testing of a Door assemble on a Laundry product.
Design Engineer - As part of a small engineering team, designing and developing drinks dispense equipment and branding for sale in batch production volumes. Client facing to help win bids.
Mechanical Engineer - Working in a small team of mechanical engineers I helped design parts for a 55mm Brushless servo motor for industrial applications such as CNC machinery and Robot arm actuation
Testing beams and structural members using hydraulic test equipment to understand failure points and loads. Developing a new frame and drawer design for mass production using stamped metal construction.
